the screenplay is nothing but a narration or confession of a psycho.he confesses in his own style,he is not writing a novel.he narrates the incidents in the order which he remembers.voice over technique is used.its new to tamil cinema.the movie is very advanced.excellent background score by yuvan.this movie didnt do well in box office.but it wil be praised in the future where people will be wondering why this movie was not a big sucess.something like guna or anbe sivam.a movie which features income inequality,one of the major vice of capitalism.a mmovie to remember and relish.director ram surely deserves a standing ovation.
1.PARUTHI VEERAN.i have seen this movie 4 times.i think it is the best movie of the year, even though i have split the first position with kattradhu tamil.a world cinema in tamil.yuvan at its best.brilliant.i dont have words to describe this.complete in every aspect.a pefect example of how good a tamil cinema should be.background score is haunting.saravanan gets the role of his career.its a good thing that it made well in box office.

2.CHENNAI - 28
another fine example of how a very good entertainment movie should be.masterpiece in its genre.bg score by premji is grooving.great screen play.we get pulled in to their world.good songs.
the hero of this movie is venkat prabhu.the script is magical,thats why everybody looks like an angel.

3.ONBATHU ROOBAI NOTU.thangar bachan,sathayaraj.its a masterpiece for sathaya raj and a near masterpiece by thangar bacchan(azhagi is his masterpiece).this is what tamil films should produce.tamil flms which bring forth the characteristics of our society.it should not look like a hollywood flick.french cinema doesnt make films like hollywood or japanese cinema or south korean or iranian cinema.

4.KALLORI.reality at its best.many of us dont agree with the climax.they say it never fits to what this film should be.but remember this is what life is.unpredicatable.i think it is a very good movie.films like these makes tamil cinema proud.

5.POLLADHAVAN.a good movie,though it has flaws,it keeps us occupied so much.the treatment,the camera work are haunting.daniel balaji is cool.the actor who comes as his balaji's brother is excellent.the cast is brillaint,the treatment different.technical aspects are good.this is how techinical things should be.it should support the plot or the story line and not dominate them.

6.MOZHI
a feel good movie.its not the best of the movie,but a decent movie,with good songs. a family entertainer.this is what entertainment is.this is what a commercial movie should movie.people think that a commercial movie should not contain story or a screenplay(perarasu movies) but it should have the necessary ingredients to generate businees like punch dialogue,heroisms,plotless logicless stories.this film has one problem though .everybody are over sentimental.too much of emotions.everyone are so good natured in the movie.prithvi raj is over acting.i get the feeling that they are acting the movie.
7.ORAM PO
well rendered but without completeness,thats the problem.songs are ok.bgscore is good.they made some attempt to look like milns & boons movie but they could have done better.well made attempt,the screenplay is good not the best but good.who is that actor as son of gun,i think him and lal steals the show.good show puskar and gayathri.i think this film has a thin budget.thats what i emphasis .instead of making clueless movies by spending crores, they can make 50 movies like this.
8.BILLA &SHIVAJI
BILLA
i think the director spent most of the time seeing hollywood action flicks rather than concentrating on a different screenplay.its ok if it as remake of rajinikanth's billa,but i think vishnu should have done it with a different screenplay.nayantara jumps like trinity(carrie anna moss) in matrix and walks like jolie in tomb raider(an awful film).the technical works are excellent.but what does it matter when the screenplay is so dry.i dont know whats the necessity of a tamil film to look like an hollywood film.(one shot was brilliant in fact.the shot on the terrace with lightning in the sky, i still remember it)songs - nothing but noise.
8.SHIVAJI;
i have given eighth position just because of the fact that i believe it gained huge business for tamil cinema.the songs are good, not eternal but just good,its plotless,logicless,so many goofs.but rajni films should be watched by keeping our brains out(which is statement which intimidates the audience).thats what everybody says.so its not my cup of tea.cinematagraphy is excellent.is the first film to be the first to shoot in 4 k kodak.technically good but anybody can take a technically good movie if they have the money for it.
9.EVANO ORUVAN
-disappointed.i was strongly impressed by the opening scene.the nuisance of our routine life.i expected that this should be the film of 2007.but the later scenes, clueless.the screen play is so dull.not because it is slow but nothing interesting.shoot at sight order for smashing a petty shop and barotta shop is too much.
10.PALLI KOODAM
- a film is more than life(truffaut).i expected a better attempt from thangar bacchan like what he did with azhagi or onbathi roobai notu.naren gives an ordinary performance.when is he going to change the dialogue delivery style of chittam pesudhadi,seeman cant act.background score pathetic.
